ATTORNEY BIOGRAPHY (Timothy R. Ault, J.D., M.B.A.)

Mr. Ault counsels his clients in their real estate and business legal matters. This encompasses all types of real estate and business transactions, corporate creation, formation and strategy, and general business operations. Mr. Ault, who holds both J.D. and M.B.A. degrees, combines his personal legal experience of over 20 years and a lineage of lawyers and judges that spans four generations, with a fundamental understanding and education founded in the business and real estate arenas.

Having worked at both a mid-sized firm as well as a high-powered boutique law firm, Mr. Ault has participated in negotiating and/or documenting real estate and business transactions in excess of well over a Billion Dollars. He has represented a broad swath of clients ranging from public companies to individuals. Mr. Ault’s experience includes representing multifamily, residential, commercial, and hospitality developers, owners and operators, property management companies, investors, private lenders, landlords and commercial tenants, and businesses of varying sizes.

Mr. Ault is a native of San Diego, California. He graduated from California State University, Long Beach, where he earned academic All-American honors as a member of the NCAA Div. 1 Water Polo team. Mr. Ault obtained his J.D. from the University of San Diego, School of Law in 1999. Mr. Ault also holds a Master’s in Business Administration from San Diego State University, with a Specialization in Real Estate. He is admitted to the California State Bar and admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court, Southern District of California.

Mr. Ault is a member of the Bar Association of San Diego County and the State Bar of California.  Mr. Ault has been a speaker and lecturer on real estate transactions for  organizations such as the San Diego Commercial Association of Realtors, San Diego Chapter of CCIM and REIE San Diego (Real Estate Investment & Exchange), and has been published in the Journal of  Contemporary Legal Issues..

Mr. Ault’s hobbies include surfing, golf, swimming, reading classic fiction novels, and enjoying time with his wife and two children.
